Call of Duty Black Ops 2 system requirements will be similar to the previous Call of Duty game, which was Modern Warfare 3. Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is expected to be built using the same game engine with minor tweaks and improvements, which means the game will run smoothly on the vast majority of PC setups out there. The engine has been tried and tested throughout the years in numerous CoD games, so we don’t expect any drastic changes. However, there is a rumor that Black Ops 2 will be built using a more powerful game engine: the CryEngine 3. In that case, the Call of Duty Black Ops 2 system requirements would go up quite a bit, but so will the visual quality of the game as well. However, it’s still unknown whether the game will use the old engine, or switch to a more modern technology. Never the less, here are the full expected Call of Duty Black Ops 2 system requirements, based on the currently available information from publisher Activision and developer Treyarch:

- DirectX compatible sound card
- 8 GB of hard drive space
